Overview

Morton Hall
In the Worcester countryside you will find Morton Hall Gardens, looking out over the Vale of Evesham. The house dates back to 18th century and is surrounded by a variety of formal “gardens rooms”, walks and informal parkland.
Needle Mill Lane
Explore the history of the needle and fishing tackle industries at the Forge Mill Needle Museum. Did you know that Redditch once produced 90% of the world’s needles?! Take time to explore the Bordesley Abbey ruins which date from the 12th century.
Wythall
Just 7 miles south of Birmingham, Wythall is a quiet village home to the Transport Museum, Wythall, an extensive collection of over 90 buses and 30 electric vehicles ranging from milk floats to bread vans. Take some time and enjoy the vehicles from yesteryear.
Lickey Hills
Over 500 acres make up Lickey Hills Country Park. Relax and enjoy the open spaces, get some fresh air and take a walk – may be the sculpture or geology trail, cycle or horse ride – you may see some of the local wildlife. It’s worth climbing Beacon Hill – on a clear day you can see landmarks in numerous surrounding counties.
Waseley Hills Country Park
Enjoy the great outdoors at Waseley Hills Country Park – take a walk, may be enjoy a picnic whilst you enjoy the views across the hills.
Avoncroft Museum
A museum with a difference, Avoncroft is a 19 acre site that is home to a string of historic buildings. From telephone boxes, dovecotes and mission churches to toll houses, cottages and chimneys you can walk around the collection of buildings that have been relocated to this site.
Droitwich
The spa town of Droitwich is on the River Salwarpe. See “Saltworkers” the town centre sculpture, visit the heritage centre, relax at Droitwich Spa or may be time your visit to see the spectacle that is the Droitwich Spa Salt Festival.
Hanbury
The National Trust’s Hanbury Hall and Gardens is set in acres of parkland in the Worcester countryside. Visit the house to see the striking rooms and collections of paintings. Explore the gardens with their rolling programme of colour, the walled garden and trail walks.
