Marlborough

Calne
On the edge of the North Wessex Downs, Calne enjoys an historic past, brought to life in the Historic Quarter. Close by you can visit Bowood Estate, home to Bowood House where you can tour the rooms and outside discover the gardens and Capability Brown landscape.
Chippenham
The historic market town of Chippenham sits on the bank of the River Avon and is home to a lively scene, regular markets and events. Explore the Wiltshire & Swindon Heritage Centre, the Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre or relax in the peaceful John Coles park with its flowerbeds and bandstand.
Malmesbury
Visit the 12th century Malmesbury Abbey and the Abbey House Gardens where the gardens, home to over 1,000 years of history cross the River Avon provide a colourful display. Visit Market Cross, the tomb of King Athelstan at the Norman Abbey and the Athelstan Museum.
Royal Wootton Bassett
The former Saxon enclave is a great place to explore the surrounding countryside. Discover the Georgian architecture, 18th century Town Hall and Wootton Bassett Museum. Explore Jubilee Lake and Templars Fir. Nearby at Broad Town you can find the White Horse carved into the hillside.
