Ludlow
The historic market town of Ludlow in Shropshire is famed for its food and drink and is overlooked by the ruins of the magnificent Ludlow Castle, high above the River Teme. Take in Ludlow Museum and relax on the Millennium Green alongside the river at Dinham Bridge.
Downton on the Rock
The 5,000 acre Downton Estate borders Shropshire and Herefordshire overlooking Ludlow. Whilst Downton Castle isn’t open to the public, the surrounding countryside serves up some fantastic views and scenery.
Wigmore
The historic site of Wigmore Castle dates back to 1067 and was a strategic centre on the England / Wales border. The ruins provide some far reaching views over the surrounding countryside.
Leominster
Leominster is part of the “black and white trail” and an ideal location for exploring the surrounding Marches landscape. Visit the Leominster Museum which tells the story of Leominster from pre-Roman times.
Bromyard
Known as the “town of festivals”, Bromyard welcomes a range of visitors throughout the year – whether it is scarecrows, town criers or jazz musicians it seems there is always something going on. Close by Ralph Court Gardens provide a horticultural delight for visitors.
Ledbury
Backdropped by the Malvern Hills, the market town of Ledbury is populated with numerous black and white buildings including the Market Hall and is well known for its poetry culture. Relax and maybe take in a local cider tour.
Malvern Hills
The Malvern Hills are a natural highlight of this part of the world. Explore the countryside on foot, bike, or horse back to enjoy some of the panoramic vistas on offer.
