Welford Park
Welford Park is home to one of the most impressive woodland snowdrop spectacles in the country - set on the River Lambourn against the backdrop of the Queen Anne House TV viewers may recognise the location from Gardener’s World and the GBBO.
Newbury
The delightful market town of Newbury is set around a market square, complete with a medieval Cloth Hall, 15th century church, half timbered granary and many 17th and 18th century listed buildings. Nearby Highclere Castle, home of Downton Abbey, is well worth a visit.
Goring Gap
The only location in the country situated within two areas of outstanding natural beauty, Goring Gap delivers beautiful scenery, along with the River Thames and has been an inspiration for books such as Three Men in a Boat and the Wind in the Willows.
Reading
Reading, set on the River Thames and River Kennet provides a wealth of attractions – including the annual Reading Festival, Reading Museum, Forbury Gardens, the ruins of 12th century Reading Abbey and number of delightful restaurants and eateries along the waterfront.
Bracknell
The mixed woodland Bracknell Forest is bisected by the River Blackwater and River Cut. Visit the 18th century South Hill Park mansion to view the art or may be take a tour of the shops before relaxing with a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants.
Dorney
Dorney Lake is an Olympic rowing venue and is surrounded by parkland. Nearby you can discover the tranquil surroundings of Dorney Court, a Grade 1 listed Tudor Manor House dating from the 15th century.
Windsor
Situated on the River Thames, Windsor has many fine Georgian buildings and is home to the famous royal residence Windsor Castle. Take a tour of the state rooms and enjoy this 11th century iconic landmark. Close by you can discover Legoland, Cliveden’s stunning gardens and the Savill Garden.
Windsor Great Park
A magical setting of nearly 5000 acres, where you can discover ancient woodlands, historical monuments, rolling parkland, a variety of nature and wildlife, a deer park and stunning gardens. A great place to visit at any time of the year.
