WWF Living Planet Centre

WWF Living Planet Centre is the home of WWF UK and is also a fantastic education centre. One of the greenest buildings in the UK, the Living Planet Centre runs behind the scenes tours, talks, workshops and hands on activities. The WWF Experience is separated into four zones: wildlife, oceans, freshwater and forests. Make your way around and learn more about each environment, watch films from the wild and find out about the WWF’s conservation projects around the world. Visits are free, but donations are encouraged.

Brooklands Museum

This motoring and aviation museum is built on part of the former Brooklands track, the world’s first motor racing circuits. The museum has a huge collection of unique motoring and aviation exhibits, including motorcycles, racing cars and Hawker-built aircraft. A highlight of the museum is the Concorde Experience, where you can take a tour of the aircraft, sit in the passenger seats and take a virtual flight. The museum also has an F1 simulator where you can drive a 2007 McLaren along a selection of circuits.

RHS Garden Wisley

RHS Garden Wisley is spread over 240 acres and is a haven for garden lovers. There’s so much to take in here, including Mediterranean terraces, flower gardens, an alpine meadow, an orchard and a vegetable garden. You’ll also find several glasshouses with different climate zones that house tropical and desert plants. The garden runs events, courses and workshops throughout the year, so keep an eye out for what’s on. Make sure to visit the plant centre where you can buy rare and unusual house plants, as well as several eateries which all use fresh produce from the gardens.
