Dog Friendly Camp Sites and Caravanning Sites in Suffolk

Polstead Camping and Caravanning Site is on the edge of a breath-taking conservation area close to the pretty Suffolk towns of Sudbury and Hadleigh. This is also a great base if you’re heading across the Channel from Harwich.
Camping and Caravanning sites that welcome dogs-on-leads include Mill Farm, in Saxmundham, which also has its own private pond for those of you who enjoy fishing. For those of you who enjoy plane spotting The Willows Campsite near to the RAF sites at Mildenhall and Lakenheath is the place to check out.
Haw Wood Farm Caravan and Camping Park, Southwold, is a peaceful site with spacious pitches, and is within easy reach of beaches at Aldeburgh, Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich – perfect for a family break. Close to the pretty market town of Woodbridge, Run Cottage Touring Park is a lovely family-run 20 caravan touring park located on the outskirts of the village of Hollesley. The park hosts an abundance of wildlife and native birds to see, from sparrows to barn owls, rabbits to deer, and ducks to king fishers. The site features all expected facilities, plus has an adjoining two acre Dog Exercise Area to keep your canine companion trim!

Dog Friendly Self Catering Accommodation in Suffolk
Nestled in the tiny hamlet of Foxearth, three miles from Long Melford near the market town of Sudbury in Suffolk, you will find Oakley’s Cottage, a perfect countryside setting for lots of picturesque dog walks. This fifteenth century cottage has many authentic period features such as a huge inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove, Tudor brick floors, timbered walls, sloping ceilings and oak and pine floor boards. Combined with modern luxuries such as underfloor heating downstairs, a well equipped kitchen with induction hobs, two ovens and a large American fridge freezer, Egyptian cotton linen and walk in shower as well as a bath. Not to mention an enclosed back garden, a sun trap terrace and a lower terrace under the pergola, all perfect for man and his best friend to enjoy.
Lighthouse View Cottage in Southwold is a comfortable and welcoming holiday cottage sleeping four people in two bedrooms. This early-Victorian cottage is by St.James’ Green in the very heart of this attractive coastal town. From the front door it is just yards to the promenade and sea. Not only does Lighthouse View offer an excellent holiday location but Southwold’s landmark lighthouse stands just over the wall of the cottage’s rear courtyard. Car parking is freely available in the immediate area. Children over 4 years are welcome as is one well-behaved dog. During the summer months, dogs are restricted to certain areas of the beach but outside of this, they are free to roam. There are also many dog friendly pubs and restaurants nearby.
