If you love the outdoors but aren’t so keen on leaving your home comforts, then glamping is a great way to enjoy the best of both worlds. Here are some fantastic glamping sites in Kent.
Go Glamp
Go Glamp is set in the countryside near the village of Headcorn. The family-friendly luxury glamping site offers a range of accommodation, including a Mongolian yurt and bell tents which sleep up to four people and have shared bathrooms. The shepherd’s hut sleeps up to two people and has a private bathroom. Facilities include a kitchen and an outdoor swimming pool.
Tanner Farm Park
Surrounded by woodland, farmland and orchards on the edge of High Weald AONB, Tanner Farm Park is a great place to escape to. The glamping pods sleep two adults each and include a small table and chairs, lockable storage box, electric heater and lighting and a water tap. The park also has a laundry room, shop, rec room, children’s play areas and a shower block.
Gooseberry Field Glamping
Gooseberry Field is surrounded by rolling hills and pretty woodlands not far from Ashford, Canterbury and Maidstone. There are eight stylish bell tents which are individually decorated and can sleep up to four people. They’re fully equipped with everything you’ll need, and one of the tents comes with a private hot tub. Facilities include showers, toilets, a barn for indoor dining and pizza nights on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Star Field Glamping and Camping
Based on a working farm in Cranbrook, Star Field has luxury bell tents with double beds, double gas ring, kitchen pack, cool box, solar or battery lighting, BBQ and equipment, picnic table and private toilets and hot showers. There are also standard bell tents which have shared hot showers. If you need to pick up any supplies, there is an on-site country store and farm shop.
Broadhembury Holiday Park
Close to Ashford and Canterbury, Broadhembury Holiday Park has a range of adult and family glamping tents. The warm and cosy tents are equipped with electricity and heating, as well as gas BBQs, cutlery and crockery. You’ll have access to a communal kitchen, but you can also order deliveries. Other facilities include showers, toilets and a laundry room.
Gravel Pit Farm
The safari tents at Gravel Pit Farm can sleep up to six adults and are fully equipped with kitchens and dining areas, ensuite bathrooms, wifi, electric sockets and BBQ grills. The tents have cosy living areas with wood burning stoves, perfect to snuggle up to after a long day of exploring. Each tent has a covered veranda which looks out onto lush green fields.
Longberry Farm
Situated on the outskirts of Ashford, Longberry Farm is a great place for families, couples and groups to come and relax. There are a range of tents sleeping between five and six people, and come fully equipped. For something a little more romantic, The Old Stable is a cosy cabin for two. The farm has a kitchenette and dining area, a chill out tent, a toilet and shower block and of course, a campfire.
Life’s A Pitch
The luxurious bell tents at Life’s A Pitch in the High Weald AONB are beautifully decorated, each with a different theme. The tents are fully equipped with rugs, comfy beds, kitchen and dining equipment, gas stove and a fire-pit. There is also a shower and toilet block, as well as a washing up area. While the site benefits from tons of rural woodland walks, it’s also not far from local attractions and amenities.
Ellenden Farm Country Glamping
If you’re looking for off-grid glamping in Kent, then a stay at Ellenden Farm is a must. Surrounded by countryside and views over Seasalter and Whitstable, the campsite is the perfect place to relax. You have a choice of shepherd’s huts and bell tents, all of them fully equipped with bedding, cutlery, a wood stove and gas kettle boiler. As the farm is in a conservation area, there is no electricity or wifi, but solar lights are provided.
Wheatfields Luxury Glamping
Wheatfields is situated on the edge of Romney Marsh, close to Rye and Camber Sands Beach. There are two safari lodges which sleep between six and eight people in three separate bedrooms.
