Things To Do This Easter In East Sussex

If you’re looking for fun and interesting things to do this Easter in East Sussex, this guide has everything you need.

From family friendly days out to Easter events, here you will find plenty of ideas and inspiration to keep everyone entertained over the Easter break.

SEA LIFE Brighton

SEA LIFE Brighton is the oldest operating aquarium in the world. This is a great place for an educational and fun day out over Easter, especially if you have children of different ages, as there is something for everyone. Visit the restored Victorian Arcade, explore the rainforest with the Rain Forest Adventure, or watch the regular feeds and talks that take place throughout the day.

Drusillas Park

Drusillas Park has been described as ‘Europe’s Best Small Zoo’. Ideal for using up excess energy and satisfying curious minds, Drusillas Park offers a fantastic mix of things to do. The zoo is home to a range of interesting and exotic animals, including Rainbow Lorikeets, Boa Constrictors, Red Pandas, Ring Tailed Lemurs, and Servals. Children will love the adventure play areas, and for hot weather there is a Splash Pad play area. There are also several themed areas with rides, including the Hello Kitty Secret Garden, the UK’s only Hello Kitty themed attraction.

The Llama Park

Another great choice for days out in East Sussex is The Llama Park. As well as llamas, there are donkeys, alpacas, sheep, pigs, horses, and even reindeer. Complete with a restaurant, coffee shop, and shops, this makes a lovely family day out during the Easter holidays. To make your day more memorable, why not go on a Llama Walk? There is an additional cost, but it is well worth it.

Knockhatch Adventure Park

Knockhatch Adventure Park in Hailsham has both indoor and outdoor adventure areas, as well as farm animals and an owl sanctuary. For warmer weather there is a Boating Lake, Pirates Paddling Pool, and the Chestnut Wood Adventure Playground. For rainy days there is an indoor soft play area, and a dinosaur themed Lost World Playbarn.

Great Dixter House & Gardens

Great Dixter House & Gardens is a beautiful place to visit over Easter, as the gardens are in bloom during Springtime. Adults will enjoy exploring the many themed gardens and learning about the historical house, while children can take part in events and activities such as the Garden Explorer Club which runs during the school holidays.

Blackberry Farm Park

Farm Parks are ideal places to visit during the Easter break, and Blackberry Farm Park in Whitesmith is no exception. Little ones will love the Animal Handling sessions, where they can cuddle rabbits and guinea pigs, or meet the larger animals around the farm. Animal feed is also available to buy, so you can help feed the animals as you go. There are usually plenty of events happening at Blackberry Farm Park, and Easter is a fantastic time to visit for activities such as tractor rides, lamb bottle feeding, chick holding, Easter egg hunts, crafts, and face painting.
