Reduction Lino Cut Printing with Judith Handley

Learn to print several colours with the same plate. We will start by preparing an image/drawing ready to be transferred onto lino using tracing paper and softcut’ lino. You will be guided through how to plan each colour stage before cutting your lino design. With colour reduction techniques you will be shown how to register your paper to achieve successful layers of print. There will be a range of coloured papers to print onto which will extend the opportunities for colour combinations. If you have a particular theme or image you would like to work from please bring it along, your own drawings, photographs or magazine cuttings are all good source materials – but don’t worry if you haven’t got anything – there will be imagery to choose from.
