Red Rose Chain Theatre
Red Rose Chain is a not for profit theatre company based at The Avenue Theatre in Ipswich, delivering a vibrant professional and community programme.
For over 20 years, we have put inclusion and accessibility at the centre of our work, providing a needed refuge and giving a voice to the marginalised through high quality arts activities and volunteering opportunities.
The Avenue Theatre
Our purpose-built studio theatre sits within the grounds of Gippeswyk Hall, a Grade II* listed Tudor building and home to our community rooms and production office.
Productions include Christmas shows of classic stories like Alice in Wonderland, to our gritty history plays like Fallen in Love, no two visits to the The Avenue Theatre are ever the same!
Theatre in the Forest
Sutton Hoo is the beautiful site of the Anglo-Saxon burial ground as featured in the Netflix film ‘The Dig’, boasting hauntingly beautiful views over the River Deben – the perfect backdrop for a magical evening enjoying Shakespeare as the sun goes down and the stars appear!
There are plenty of perfect spots for a pre-show picnic across the Sutton Hoo site, as well as in the field by the auditorium. Plus you can enjoy a pre-show food and drink from the King’s Road Cafe, and shop in the National Trust gift shop!
