This railway carriage has been carefully restored to maintain all of it’s original 1950’s features and provides comfortable yet very quirky accommodation for an unforgettable holiday in Scotland.

Stay in a Train Carriage

The converted holiday train carriage is located on the shores of Loch Awe, Scotland’s largest inland loch.

Nestled just beneath the splendid Loch Awe Hotel, the train carriage is set in it’s own garden area with laid grass, enclosed by fencing and is only feet away from the edge of Loch Awe.

There are magnificent views of the loch as well as of the nearby Kilchurn Castle (one of the most photographed castles in Britain) which is accessible by foot just one mile from the carriage.

The small village of Lochawe has the Ben Cruchan Inn which is an excellent pub that serves good food as well as a post office/shop, both of which are only a short walk from the carriage.
