Lovable donkey duo Wiggins and Wacko, real-life Black Beauty Maya and troublemakers The Gangsters are just some of the 50 rescued residents ready to make your acquaintance at Redwings Aylsham in Norfolk.

Founded in 1984, Redwings now cares for more than 1,500 rescued horses, donkeys, ponies, and mules at its centres across the country. This includes Redwings Aylsham in Norfolk, a Visit England Quality Assured Visitor Attraction and East Life Awards Winner 2022. Everything Redwings does is 100% funded by the public.

Walks

After making plenty of new four-legged friends, you can enjoy a relaxing stroll along the centre’s peaceful wildlife walks – perfect for keen ramblers and dog walkers!

Cafe & Gift Shop

At Gulliver’s Café, you can enjoy hot drinks and warm lunches, as well as browse our gift shop, where you’ll find plenty of souvenirs to choose from, with all proceeds going towards the care of the hundreds of rescued horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules at Redwings.

Red’s Shed

You can also learn about horses and even try your hand at running a rescue in our education centre Red’s Shed!

Most paddocks are accessible, although some may be difficult to navigate in adverse weather conditions. The wildlife walks are also mostly grassy, and so can be difficult to navigate. There is a fully accessible, purpose-built stable facility, a fully accessible WC and disabled parking.

Entry and parking are free, but donations of all sizes can really support the charity’s work and we’re so grateful for anything you’re able to give. Dogs on leads are welcome.
