Hobbit Pods

These quirky pods are situated in the village of Tilmanstone, Kent. Located conveniently to Dover if you are looking for an overnight stop for a day or two before or after a channel crossing.

The coastal town of Deal is just a short drive from Tilmanston, one of the prettiest seaside towns in Kent with it’s pastel coloured houses and cobbled winding streets. The well known resort of Margate is just 30 mins drive.

The pods sleep up to 4 people in a double and single bunk beds and has ensuite shower and toilet facilities. There’s a small worktop and sink area with a kettle and toaster but for a cooked evening meal you can pop over to the Plough & Harrow Pub.

Each pod has an individual outdoor seating area and parking space. The pods are ideal for multiple families who want to be on site together. There are also touring pitches for those with tents and caravans just the other side of the site.

Camping Ground

Situated on the grounds of a pub dating back to the 1850s, this pub camping site has a selection of grass pitches with eight electric hook-ups for self contained caravans and tourers.

Pub

The main pub building dates back to the 1850s and with food and drink available in the pub, you shouldn’t be troubled by any tummy grumbles.

The pub is close to the south coast, with seaside spots like Deal (15 minutes’ drive) and Broadstairs only half an hour away.
