The Stables

Book a cottage stay in Essex in the converted stable block at Blackbrook Lodges.

Spacious accommodation for a family holiday in Colchester, Essex (10 mins drive to town) with the luxury of a private hot tub. You can also bring your pet dog to stay in the cottage too.

There are a variety of animals from alpacas to donkeys and chickens living at the farm, guests are welcome to explore and meet the animals.

The accommodation comfortably sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms and there is private outdoor space with seating and a hot tub for your sole use.

There is a fully fitted kitchen, ideal for those self catering.

Check in: 4pm | Check out: 10am

Guests are requested to keep music volume to a minimum as we have animals/other guests staying on the farm.

♨️ The hot tub has been relocated 50m down the garden to reduce any potential noise and increase your privacy. Robes and a golf buggy are provided.

We also have Animal feed on site at a cost of £1 per bag. You can purchase the food and have a walk around the farm and feed the animals. Each bag is labelled up for each set of animals.

Blackbrook Lodges is situated on The Essex Way, a long-distance footpath 81 miles long, wonderful if your dog is also with you on holiday (The Stables and The Duckhouse are dog friendly). The trail starts in Epping in the southwest, crosses Dedham Vale and Constable country to finish at the port of Harwich on the Stour estuary.
