The Cricketers | Clavering

Village cricket, famously the hub of an English rural community, The Cricketers lives up to its namesake. Steeped in a history of family, fine food and exceptional hospitality we look forward to introducing you to our newly refurbished interiors.

The bar and dining areas have been sympathetically updated, reimagined spaces, inspired by the original 16th century fabric of the building. Brickwork and beams complimented by copper, wood panelling and gentle colours and textures, our bedrooms, also refreshed, bringing the Essex countryside, inside with floral and botanical inspired fabrics, papers and paints.

Seared, sizzled or slow cooked meat and game. Chargrilled, marinaded, or pickled fish and sea food. Sliced, diced, and shredded lively, seasonal fruit and vegetables. Our menus change with the seasons and our Cricketers specials by the day. Allegedly the most important meal of the day, breakfast here is worth getting out of bed for.
