Gelli Fechan Caravan and Camping Site | Wales

Low impact and high enjoyment in wild West Wales… surrounded by oak trees and mountains, alongside the river Towy and just over 10 miles from the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the dog-friendly Gelli Fechan Caravan and Camping Site is a remote place with gorgeous dark skies and lots of local beauty spots.

There are no manicured lawns or concrete pitches and no wifi connection here – the site isn’t heavy on facilities, but there’s a tidy toilet block with running water and the centre of the site is a free space so that kids can run about and kick a ball.

Just metres away from the river Towy, you’re welcome to pay for a day’s fishing (just be sure to have the necessary license). If fishing isn’t quite your thing, but a cosy pub just might be, there are two pubs within walking distance (a 40-minute or a 15-minute walk). Llandovery is a 20 minute drive away.
