For my dream holiday in the UK, I would go to Manchester for a city break. Manchester is a really cool city, because it is the home of Manchester United!
I would hop on the train to Piccadilly first, and then go to the Chill Factor to go skiing. On the big slope it would feel amazing to go as fast as I possibly could. Right next door is The Trafford Centre, here I would browse the shops for new trainers, and maybe treat myself to some new Nike Air Max.
After all that, I would be really hungry, so I would recommend going for a massive steak! I would check out Gaucho’s! It is like heaven and being in Argentina! I would order a medium rare steak with mashed potato or chips, and a lemonade to wash it down with! All that would be exhausting, so it would be time to check into a really nice hotel.
The Dakota Hotel is a really pleasant hotel for a well- earned rest and jacuzzi! The next day, I would head over to Old Trafford. This is where Manchester United play (the best team in the world!) it is the ‘Theatre of Dreams’. I would go on the stadium tour – this is a chance to see all the things you would never be able to see, like the changing rooms! I would feel so excited to be here, because some of the best players in the world have sat where I would be sitting! I might even be lucky enough to bump into Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes! I could see if there was even a match to watch. The atmosphere in the stadium is electrifying, especially when there is a goal. Hopefully United would win!
If like me football is your thing, I would recommend also visiting the National Football Museum. Inside you can see a ‘Walk of Fame’, you can pretend you are holding the World Cup – imagine that!
To finish off my weekend in Manchester, I would take a look in the Imperial War Museum. I would like to see the exhibitions about World War One and World War Two, and also the football history (In World War One on Christmas day, The Germans and the British came out of their trenches to have a game). I would buy My Mum and Grandad something from the gift shop because they both love history!
Finally, I would take a walk around the rest of the city, and maybe look at where my Mum went to University. What a good weekend!
