My dream holiday in the UK would be London because it has so many places to go and see.  London  is also the capital of England.

The first place I would visit would be Buckingham palace because it is where the Queen lives and is very big.  It also has 775 rooms including 78 bathrooms, 52 royal guest bedrooms and 188 staff bedrooms.  400 people live there! Did you know if the royal guards get caught smiling or laughing they get fined £200!!  There are 36 soldiers and 3 officers.

The next place I would visit would be the British museum because it is free to go in with up to a group of 10 people.  Also it is a famous landmark and people come from all over the world to visit it.  You can also sleep-over there and explore the exibits.  There are audio guides in many languages.  You can also get a backpack of stuff so you can explore the museum and its treasures more.  There are events, trails, objects you can touch and many more things to do there at the museum.

The third place I would visit would Hamleys toy shop. Did you know that it is the oldest toy shop in the world and it was founded by a Cornishman called William Hamley 255 years ago.  Its location is Noahs ark, Holborn, London.  Hamleys mascots are two teddy bears called Hattie and Hamley.  It is the largest toy shop in the world.  In 2017 the toy shop Hamleys was worth £5.5 billion. It is now owned by an indian man called Mukesh Ambani.

The fourth and final place I would visit on my dream holiday in the UK to London would be the Millennium Wheel, also known as the London eye.  The London eye has 32 capsules, it is 135 meteres tall and 120 meteres wide.  It was built in 1999 to celebrate the Millennium and it opened on the 31st of December 1999 for the PM, but did not open for the paying public until the 9th of march 2000 due to technical difficulties.  Did you know the London eye only goes anti clockwise?

There are loads more things to do in a day out in London and many more places to visit such as the tower of London and London Zoo. That is why I think London is a great place to visit.
